Super-Coffee Recipe

This coffee recipe is super easy & incredibly healthy, just by combining some spices you have in your pantry into your morning cup can offer major health benefits! – Here’s how:

What You’ll Need: Makes 2 cups of Super-Coffee

  • 2 cups organic coffee ( like Kicking Horse )
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of good quality cocao powder
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1.5 cups of coconut or organic soy mylk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 packets of organic stevia
  • A frother of some sort, I’ve talked about my fav nespresso one HERE

What To Do:

  1. Start by brewing your coffee as strong as you like
  2. To the froth machine ( or mug ) add all the spices, stevia and the mylk
  3. If not using a froth machine – I would heat up the mylk with all the spices
  4. Pour the hot coffee over the coconut oil and stir
  5. pour in the mylk mixture into the hot coffee
  6. mix together or froth once again
  7. top with cinnamon and a little extra stevia if so desired
  8. This recipe can also be blended all together much like my Next Level Coffee

Here is why there is Turmeric & pepper in this whacky recipe: 

  • Piperine is the key chemical in black pepper. It is similar to capsaicin a chemical in chili and offers many health benefits. Curcumin which is a polyphenol plays the same role in turmeric.
  • Helps in reducing joint pain
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • High in antioxidants
  • Adds a nice little kick!

Why is there is Cacao powder: 

  • High in antioxidants
  • Provides essential minerals like calcium & potassium

Why is there coconut oil:

  • The good fats in coconut oil or MCT’s will sustain you all morning long and avoid that “coffee crash”

Cinnamon reduces blood sugars, which makes it easier to resist sugar cravings, aiding in that will power, stevia will not effect your blood sugar levels.
