Non – Nasty Green Smoothie

Let’s face it, some green juices/smoothies are so nasty you can’t drink them daily even if you want to. This one is just the right amount of sweet without to much of the nasty! The problem with fruit smoothies is they are loaded with sugar… yes, yes I know its sugar from fruit but its still TOO much sugar. Your body will metabolize them quickly, and hunger pangs will kick in within an hour. Avoid this issue by making your smoothie 70 % greens and 30% fruit with a protein source such organic plain Greek yogurt, sprouted vegan protein powder, soft organic tofu,or organic nut butters.

What You’ll Need:

1 1/2 cups water
2 cups organic romaine lettuce, chopped
3  stalks organic celery
1/2 head of a large bunch or 3/4 of a small bunch of spinach
1 scoop of Perfect Fit Protein powder ( or sun warrior , or another good vegan protein )
4 tsp of Organic, Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Coconut oil
1 organic apple, cored and chopped
1 organic pear, cored and chopped
1/2  organic banana frozen
Juice of 1/2 fresh organic lemon
2 TBL of parsley* Optional but crazy good for you so add it

Blend it all together, starting with the greens and the water first * ( this makes it not nasty and chunky)
