Back Story

My true love of eating “clean” all started about 10 years ago, when I started working in the weight loss industry. Through the past 10 years I have seen what a HUGE impact whole, natural food makes on a person. I have seen people go from over weight, sick, tired and run down to vibrant, healthy, strong & happy…. All from just changing the way they eat. It really is that simple, we are what we eat!

I realized though, through working all this time,  in this multi billion dollar weight loss industry the pressures can get to your head real quick. I began counting calories with every meal, weighing out food & completely avoiding food groups. I placed a MAJOR emphasis on my body image and slowly but surely people were noticing how tired and frail I began to look.  ( Even though I thought I looked amaze, receiving compliments on how I looked, & questions about how I stayed so skinny. It almost fueled the fire…)   I knew what I was doing was in no way okay, or even remotely healthy, as I was teaching all of my clients to be)…..

I quickly learned that no matter how many hours I spent at the gym or counting calories, I ended up feeling unsatisfied, deprived, tired and moody , sad and withdrawn. Not surprisingly, my self-confidence took a major hit and my body image deteriorated! My Husband ( then boyfriend) & my best friend, close friends and family noticed my weight and mood & encouraged me to do what I love and to stop restricting myself from..well basically life. * thanks guys I love you, you helped me so much! *

My wake-up call or ” AHA” moment was when I finally got out of the weight loss industry and moved into a career in the natural supplement industry. It really gave me a strong look at what it is to be healthy on the inside and what it reflects on the outside. I went from wanting to be skinny, to wanting to have muscle to now wanting to be happy and healthy, while supporting & helping others to feel the same!  Gone were the days when I was constantly stepping on the scale & avoiding avocados because of the calories ( how could I have ever lived without Guacamole!?, I’ll take extra please! )

Fast forward to today: I am at a healthy weight for my 5’5 frame. I workout almost everyday & have boundless amounts of energy…. EVEN with a 4 month old who doesn’t enjoy sleeping at night.  My issues with food are completely solved as I realized food, in its natural state is amazing and does amazing things to our bodies if we let it! ( P.S weight loss is a natural side effect of clean eating! ).

As we raise our baby girl, I want her to be confident in herself. I want her to know she is beautiful and that food is power & food is love. I vow not to put myself down in front of her or preach about any sort of diet etc. I want her to love food as she should!

I became naturally addicted to this new found energy, glowing skin and happy digestion and became invigorated & happy by sharing this epiphany with others! Which is why I started Leaves and Bubbly!

Whole, natural, unrefined, unprocessed foods have a huge impact on how we feel and look. They are the building blocks that our bodies need to properly grow and function so why wouldn’t we look to food for healing and rebuilding? With so many diseases stemming from the stomach health being deteriorated I have decided to build my business on including whole, natural, organic, Delicious filled meal plans to offer my clients only the best no matter the reason, be it weight loss, acne clearing help, disease prevention, or just plain wanting to maintain your health & well being.

My ultimate goal is to help to be able to shine the light & truly show how food can make you feel sexy & empowered. By teaming up with some of the best women I know in the business. Get ready for some serious Wellness programs, Bridal programs and Weight loss programs

So I encourage you to ditch the lifestyle & people that no longer serve you, embrace food the way nature intended, alter your negative mindset, and grow into a new, glowing, beautiful you. Be kind to yourself & others!

So excited to share my idea of bliss with you babes! Xx. Nicole
